Hypselodoris infucata
Hypselodoris infucata was originally described from Ruppell and Leuckart in 1828 from the Red Sea. It has been found throughhout the Indo-Pacific to the Hawaiian Islands and has recently been found in the Mediterranean Sea where it presumably entered via the Suez Canal. It is most closely related to Hypselodoris obscura from temperate Australia. The two species have consistently different internal features, but are very similar externally.
As a new feature to the Slug Site, a different nudibranch will be selected on a weekly basis for enchanced display.
